Before reaching the end of the first phase of the Bertelsmann Technology Scholarship Program, an amazing opportunity which started a couple of months ago, I would like to share with you my insights and impressions so far as well info and resources from my favorite lesson yet.
My journey began on November 15th, when I first received my verification email. Without wasting any time, I quickly jumped into the course and started getting to know the instructors, in addition to learning more about the syllabus. Most importantly, though, I joined the Slack workspace where an amazing community is facilitated, ready to help, support and, also, entertain.
Having already completed, successfully, a Nanodegree scholarship before I expected nothing less but an organized, high quality program with some of the most talented mentors/community managers. A big part of this trip is staying motivated, no matter what; thanks to over 2 thousand enthusiastic and awesome members the spark is and will stay lit. Activities include, but not limited to, AMA sessions, study groups where students from all the world will trade ideas, advice and helpful resources, specific topic-oriented channel. Moreover, fun challenges like Bingo and #60DaysOfUdacity keep everyone engaged and committed to our goal.
Some concepts that really stood out to me, thanks to my favorite lesson regarding AWS CloudFormations, were the importance and benefits of code infrastructure in the modern day world. One more thing that really stood out to me was the wide variety of options and advantages of the AWS suite such as the “endless” possibilities of a VPC.
Before leaving you, I would like to wish all the best to my fellow students and, also, share my gratitude to Clayton, all the wonderful mentors and everyone who keeps learning!
